“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” -John 15:13
We would like to thank those brave men and women who have fallen in the line of duty. This is the greatest earthly sacrifice one can make for another person. It is because of this sacrifice that we are all able to enjoy the many freedoms we do each and every day. Memorial day is a time when we can remember who these individuals were and what they gave up for all of us.
When we think about the sacrifice that these men and women made for us, we cannot help but also think of the ultimate sacrifice that was made for all mankind when Jesus died on the cross for the sins of you and me. Because of this sacrifice, we are able to have hope here on earth and we are eternally grateful.
To help celebrate this special day, we have created a little acrostic using the word MEMORIAL DAY…Enjoy! 🙂
Pray for the families/friends of the fallen soldiers as they think back on all their memories they had with them.
Join others and eat some good food today. Spend time with friends and family; not alone.

Get outside and enjoy the land these soldiers fought for and many others are still fighting for today.
Many don’t have to work today. R-e-l-a-x. Don’t look for projects to do around the house, it’s okay to take a day off.
The very first Memorial Day was May 30, 1868, it was declared an occasion to decorate the graves of Civil War soldiers.
What a great country! We are so grateful God has allowed us to live here.. #Blessed!
Even if you don’t know one personally, go to a cemetery and lay a wreath, flag, or flowers on the grave of a fallen soldier.
This was the original name given in 1868 for a day to celebrate the fallen soldiers and their memories.
Pray that we will always be grateful for what we have, not just on Memorial Day, because it came at a tremendous price.
Thank you brave Men and Women of Service for all you have done and all you are still doing.
